What is an

"Active Parish Steward"?

  1. Making a commitment to practice stewardship as a way of life.
  2. Participating at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days in your parish.
  3. Practicing the Catholic Faith in the workplace, in the home, in the classroom, and in civic life
  4. supporting the various parish programs of faith formation:

    Adult education

    Sacramental preparation

    RCIA

    Catholic Schools

    Religious Education

    Etc.

  5. participating in parish ministries, activities and organizations
  6. pledging and tithing sacrificially to the parish

This pastoral letter describesthe conversion process towards "Stewardship" as having four basics steps:

  1. gratefully accepting God's gifts
  2. responsibly cultivating those gifts
  3. generously and sacrificially  sharing God's gifts
  4. returning your gifts in full measure
