Golden Venetian Apostolic Mosaic Symbol of Peter

Saint Peter was also known as Simon or Cephas, which means rock. He is often represented holding keys and a double bared cross, crucified upside down, or wearing robes like a pope.Click here for more about Peter His three feast days are on June 29th, (feast of Peter and Paul), February 22nd (feast of the Chair Peter), November 18th (feast of the dedication of the Basilicas of Peter and Paul).
The Chair of St. Peter (Vatican Basilica)
Peter was the chosen apostle, capable of great love and loyalty, although he made mistakes over and over again. Although, when he was given responsibility, he showed that he was mature and capable. For about 15 years after Christ's Resurrection Peter led the rest of the apostles in extending the Church.
Peter is brave and gives us a of the living picture of a man who can't live below his level of pretending. He is all flesh, blood, and also full of enthusiasm. He was one of the most humble men after Christ. Peter sacrificed his life for Christ as he had promised.

Peter was born in Bethsaida, Galilee. His father was a fisherman and he wanted Peter to follow him in the family business. He and his brother Andrew joined up with James and John to become partners in the buisiness. They later all became disciples of Jesus.
St. Peter
Peter was the one who preached the Masses on Pentecost, which happened after Jesus' Ascension to heaven. He is mentioned a lot in the New Testament of the Bible in Act. There is a lot in the book of Acts of him as well, but mostly in chapter 2.
