This is our homepage. This site is about Most Pure Heart of Mary School history. We will be showing you pictures of the school back in the day.

Kids used to have to bring their own lunch. In 1995 hot lunches were brought to the school. Below is a school lunch menu of today.

History of St. Vincent's

In 1984 classrooms were constructed in the lower level of St. Vincent's and were used for Jr. High classrooms. The Sisters of Charity began serving 125 children of the parish by conducting classes in St. Vincent Home.


This is a picture of the school in the day. Click on the picture for a larger image. Notice the annex in the back of the school which was added in 1952. The annex included the Gym and the basement classrooms.

History of the School

The school opened in 1950 with 8 classrooms. In 1952 the Gym and basement classrooms were added; in 69' Mr. Turner, our retired Gym teacher, started working. In 2001 he retired, at the age of 60. The annex was added to the school in 1957, increasing the number of classrooms to 13. In 1967, 5 portables were erected for classrooms and 1 for continuing education. The number of classrooms increased to 18, in 1967. In 1990-1991, more classrooms were added in the basement of O'Connor Community Center.
