Virgin Mary: The staue Virgin Mary is one of the most beautiful statues in the world.
Jesus the Redeemer:
The statue Jesus the Redeemer was a gift of France to the city, and it stands 100 feet high, on the hill of Corcovado, which is about 2,400 feet tall.

 

Many people think that Catholics worship statues. We do not! We worship the people in the shape of the statue. Like Jesus, Mary, and the Saints and many more. This is a statue of The Pieta and this means a lot to us. Like so many statues of these people they all did something special.

This is a statue of Saint Nick this also means a lot to us Catholics. These statues go way back when Jesus was alive. These people did so much for Catholics and for people. Like Jesus he saved so many people of sickness and death.

This is a statue of St. Aidian. He also was a special person. He saved so many people of sickness. He also made so many people feel good every day. When people were lonely, sick, and hated by people he would help them and talk to them.

This a statue of Mary it is called The Statue of the New Millenium.This statue should mean alot to everyone in the world since what happened in New York and Washington.So many lives were taken that day.That day was so sad and tragic.Many families lost loved ones that meant alot to them.So all statues have a special meaning to them.Some do not mean anything to some people but others mean alot to some people.Like Catholics do not worship the God's of Buddas and they do not worship our God.We should all though, pray for each other no matter what.I know are God would want us to pray for all, even the one's that did the terrorist act, because they need it the most.So statues do have a special meaning.
