The Interior of Church--The Transcepts
Page 6

The Perpetual Adoration Chapel was dedicated in 1990 by Archbishop Ignatius Strecker. It is located at the north entrance to the church. Many parishioners spend their "holy hour" here each week, and at least one person is always present before the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day. The perpetual adoration chapel window (right) depicts the Baptism of Jesus as this chapel was previously the baptistry.

North Transcept--The Side Altar group consists of shrines dedicated to St. Anne (with Mary) and St. Joseph (with Jesus).

The South Transcept--Found here are shrines to
Our Lady of Fatima, the Infant of Prague (below/right) and Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Both transcepts contain votive candles
and reconciliation areas.

The Baptism of Jesus
(Perpetual Adoration Chapel window)

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried to prevent him saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?" Jesus said to him in reply, "Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed him. After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened for him , and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:13,17)

The windows of the cry room depict the Creation story.

The south transcept contains a stained glass window of the Crowning of Mary, Queen of Heaven and a statue of the Infant of Prague.
